U.S. Directory of Health Care Options

The U.S. Directory of Health Care Options is the only comprehensive book that outlines every state’s public and private health care programs. With a matrix for every state, you can find coverage for any individual along with a list of reference phone numbers and web sites. This is an ideal tool for professionals—school nurses, teachers, social workers, and patient navigators—who are signing up individuals, families, and small businesses throughout the United States.

FHCE State Children's Health Insurance Programs (SCHIP) Map

The SCHIP Map shows the income limits for a family of four of each state's SCHIP program. The SCHIP Map is a great resource for professionals, school nurses, teachers, social workers, and patient navigators who are working with uninsured children throughout the United States.

FHCE Federal Poverty Level Chart

In January of each year, the federal government releases an official income level for poverty called the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines, and often informally referred to as the “Federal Poverty Level.” The benefit levels of many low-income assistance programs are based on these poverty guidelines.

The US Uninsured Help Line™—800.234.1317

The Help Line is a brand new phone service designed to help you find “free and low-cost health insurance.” Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in multiple languages, the service is staffed by friendly Information Specialists who can provide callers with three main services. They can:

  1. describe the public or private options for which the caller may be eligible,
  2. connect a caller to representatives from various plans, and
  3. help find special resources pertaining to a caller’s unique health insurance eligibility situation.
